The Big Picture model synthesizes the basic skills a student needs into five learning goals and uses the student's passion to direct the development of the learning goals. In essence, the learning goals synthesize the various Pennsylvania subject areas into a more succinct format that focuses on the skills needed to acquire, analyze, and assimilate knowledge.
